How to read your transits

Each line names a moving planet, the angle it makes and the point in your chart it touches. Slow planets like Saturn and Pluto matter most, because they stay close for months. Fast planets pass in days.

The angle tells you the flavour. A conjunction blends two themes. A trine or sextile tends to feel easier. A square or opposition tends to ask something of you.

Common questions

What is a transit chart?

It compares where the planets are now with where they were when you were born. When a moving planet forms an exact angle to a point in your birth chart, astrologers call that a transit.

How do I find my transits today?

Enter your birth date, time and place above. Your result lists what is exact today, what peaks this week and what else is in range, with dates for each.

Which planets are transiting this month?

All of them are always moving. The list that matters is which ones touch your chart, and your result shows those. The table at the end of your result shows where every planet is today.

How is a transit chart different from a birth chart?

Your birth chart stays the same for life. Transits change every day, so they are used to look at timing rather than personality.

Do I need my birth time?

Your birth date gives most transits. Your time and place add your rising sign, your midheaven and your Moon, all of which can move a lot in one day.

How often should I check my transits?

Slow planets stay in range for weeks or months, so once a week is plenty for those. Faster planets like the Sun and Mercury pass within days.
